Child Protection & Safeguarding Policy
The welfare of every young person in our care is our absolute and overriding priority. This policy sets out our commitment to safeguarding and the procedures we follow to keep young people safe.
Staff Code of Conduct
This policy sets out the standards of professional behaviour expected of all staff at Affable Alternative Provision. It applies to all employees, volunteers, and contractors working with or on behalf of the provision.
Behaviour Policy
Our approach to behaviour is rooted in trauma-informed practice and restorative principles. This policy explains how we support young people to develop self-regulation and positive relationships.
Admissions Policy
This policy sets out the criteria and process for admissions to Affable Alternative Provision, ensuring fair, transparent and needs-led decision-making for all referrals.
Complaints Policy
We take all concerns and complaints seriously. This procedure sets out how to raise a concern, how we will respond, and the escalation routes available if you remain dissatisfied.
Health & Safety Policy
This policy sets out our responsibilities and arrangements for maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all young people, staff, and visitors at Affable Alternative Provision.
Lone Working Policy
This policy sets out the arrangements for managing the risks associated with lone working, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of staff who work alone with young people.
Managing Allegations Policy
This policy sets out the procedures for managing allegations of abuse or misconduct made against staff, volunteers, or contractors working at Affable Alternative Provision.
Medications Policy
This policy sets out the arrangements for the safe storage, administration and recording of medications for young people in our care.
Whistleblowing Policy
This policy sets out the arrangements for staff to raise concerns about wrongdoing, malpractice or unsafe practice, and the protections in place for those who do so in good faith.
Physical Intervention Policy
This policy sets out the circumstances in which physical intervention may be used to keep young people and staff safe, and the strict safeguards and recording requirements that apply.

Our public statement of commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people in our care.
Safer Recruitment Policy
This policy sets out our commitment to safer recruitment practices, ensuring that all staff, volunteers, and contractors are thoroughly vetted before working with young people.
Service Level Agreement
This document sets out the terms, responsibilities, and expectations agreed between Affable Alternative Provision and referring schools or local authorities for each placement.
Data Protection Policy
This policy sets out how Affable Alternative Provision collects, stores, uses, and protects personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
